    ARCHAEO-NEVADA SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP

    The Archaeo-Nevada Society Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree in Anthropology at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must have a GPA of 3.00 or higher, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and considered a resident of the State of Nevada.

    Additional Requirements: Two letters of Recommendation from Anthropology Instructor.




    BARBARA & WESLEY MILLER ENDOWMENT

    The Barbara and Wesley Miller Endowment was created to assist students pursuing studies at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must have need as defined by Student Financial Services at CSN, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and have a GPA of 2.00 or higher. Nevada residents and out of state residents may apply for this scholarship. Priority will be given to Veterans, or dependents of a veteran, including grandchildren.


    BRIAN SINCLAIR MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT

    The Brian Sinclair Memorial Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree in Music or International Languages at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and have a GPA of 3.00 or higher.

    Additional Requirements: Essay describing how music or language has influenced your life.


    CARDENAS MARKETS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

    The Cardenas Markets Endowed Scholarship was created to assist students who are pursuing an Associates or Bachelor Degree at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, have a GPA of 3.00 or higher and have need as defined by the Financial Aid Office at CSN. Applicant must be Nevada Resident. Students must demonstrate a strong commitment for the betterment of the Latino community through volunteer and community service.  Preference is given to students living in the geographic areas in which Cardenas Markets are located.

    Additional Requirements: Essay discussing your volunteer or community service within the Latino community; How does it relate to your educational goals, major, and future career?

    Two letters of recommendation from school faculty, counselor, or school administrator confirming volunteer and/or community service. 




    CARLOS JACKSON SCHOLARSHIP

    The Carlos Jackson Scholarship was created to assist students who are pursuing an Associate of Business Degree at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, have a GPA of 2.80 or higher and must have completed 15 credits at CSN. Applicant must be Nevada Resident or Out of State Resident that has need as defined by the Financial Aid Office at CSN.

    Additional requirements: Essay on the "Importance of Education" and two letters of recommendation from Professor/Instructor (letters cannot be from relatives).




    CLARK COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY

    The Clark County Medical Society Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be in the first year of the Nursing limited entry program, have a GPA of 3.00 or higher, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and considered a resident of the State of Nevada. Applicant must have need as defined by the Financial Aid Office at CSN.

    Additional Requirements: Complete Health Related Essay question on the CSN Scholarship Application.




    GARY E. ELLIOTT ENDOWMENT

    The Gary E. Elliott Endowment was created to assist students pursuing studies at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and have a GPA of 2.50 or higher. Preference is given to students majoring in Social Science programs, especially programs related to history or legal studies. Applicant must have need as defined by the Financial Aid Office at CSN.

    Additional requirement:  Essay discussing academic and personal background, career goals, and your chosen program of study is required. 




    HEALTHPLAN OF NEVADA SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP

    The Health Plan of Nevada Science Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing studies within the School of Health Sciences. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must have a GPA of 2.50 or higher, be enrolled in a minimum of 8 credits and considered a resident of the State of Nevada.

    Additional Requirements: Complete Health Related Essay question on the CSN Scholarship Application.


    JOY SNYDER NURSING SCHOLARSHIP

    The Joy Snyder Nursing Endowment was created to assist students who are pursuing an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing at the College of Southern Nevada. Students who are eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and have a GPA of 2.00 or higher. Applicant must have need as defined by the Financial Aid Office at CSN.

    Additional requirement: One page Health related Professions essay is required.




    JUSTIN BAILEY MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT

    The Justin Bailey Memorial Endowment was created to assist students who are pursuing studies at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, have a GPA of 2.75 or higher and considered a resident of the State of Nevada. Preference will be given to Veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) & Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) first, then to Veterans of other wars. Applicants can be from any branch of the military including National Guard. Separated or National Guard have preference over active military.

    Additional requirement:  Confirmation of service (Form DD-214).




    KAREN GORDON SCHOLARSHIP

    The Karen Gordon Scholarship was created to assist students who are pursuing studies within the Department of Hospitality Management at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits, have a GPA of 2.75 or higher and considered a resident of the State of Nevada. Preference will be given to students involved in school or community related Hospitality groups, associations, clubs or activities.




    LEVY FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

    The Levy Family Endowment was created to assist students who are pursuing studies at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, have a GPA of 2.50 or higher and considered a resident of the State of Nevada. Applicant must have need as defined by Student Financial Services at CSN. Preference will be given to Veterans.


    NEVADA ADULT EDUCATORS SCHOLARSHIP

    The Nevada Adult Educators Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing any degree program at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must have earned an Adult High School Diploma or an HSE (High School Equivalency), i.e.  HiSET, GED or Tasc.




    NEVADA BUILDERS ALLIANCE WOMEN'S COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP

    The Nevada Builders Alliance Women's Council Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing studies within the School of Advanced & Applied Technologies at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must have a GPA of 2.50 or higher. Student must be pursuing one of the following programs:  Air Conditioning Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, Engineering Technology, or Welding Technology.  Preference is given to students with need as defined by the Financial Aid Office at CSN.

    Additional requirement:  Essay - Explain your career goals and how the NBA scholarship will help you reach your goals.




    NEVADA SELF INSURERS ASSOC - SOUTHERN CHAPTER

    The Nevada Self Insurers Association of Nevada- Southern Chapter Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing studies at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, have a GPA of 2.75 or higher and considered a resident of the State of Nevada. Applicant must be a legal dependent of an employee who sustained an industrial injury in Nevada resulting in Permanent Total Disability (PTD) or Death.


    NEVADA STATE BANK - WOMEN IN FINANCE SCHOLARSHIP

    The Nevada State Bank - Women in Finance Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing studies within the School of Business preference in Financial Accounting at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must have need as defined by Student Financial Services at CSN, be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, have a GPA of 3.00 or higher, and considered a resident of the State of Nevada.

    Additional requirements:  Complete one page essay on one of the following topics: 
    1.  What degree are you pursuing and why did you select it?
    2.  What do you think are the top 3 issues women in finance face today?



    NV ENERGY - BUCK WONG FAMILY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

    The NV Energy- Buck Wong Family Endowment was created to assist students pursuing any Associate of Applied Science Degree at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, have a GPA of 3.00 or higher and considered a resident of the State of Nevada.

    Additional requirements:  Essay discussing "The role of Science in Futhering Humanity" is required.  Confirmation of community or volunteer service is required.  (Applicants should initiate the Buck Wong Family Letter of recommendation section (page 6) of the scholarship application.)


    OLGA LOPEZ SCHOLARSHIP

    The Olga Lopez Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing Associate degree studies at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, have a GPA of 2.50 or higher.  Applicant must be incoming high school graduate from Eldorado High School and must have been active in extracurricular school activities or community service.  

    One page essay - Explain your extracurricular or volunteer service while attending Eldorado High School.  How would this scholarship benefit you?


    THE ZAVALA HARRIS CHARITABLE FUND SCHOLARSHIP

    The Zavala Harris Charitable Fund Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing Engineering Technology at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, and considered a resident of the State of Nevada. Applicant must have need as defined by the Financial Aid Office at CSN.  Preference will be given to an under-represented class of students.

    Additional Requirements: One page essay:  Describe how you think unmanned technology will be a benefit tot he workforce and society.  How will this scholarship help you achieveyour personal and professional goals?




    THEO ELLA BYRNS SCHOLARSHIP

    The Theo Ella Byrns Scholarship was created to assist students who are pursuing an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing at the College of Southern Nevada. Students who are eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and have a GPA of 2.50 or higher.

    Additional requirement(s): One page health program related essay is required.


    W. RUSSELL WARNER SCHOLARSHIP

    The W. Russell Warner Scholarship was created to assist students who are pursuing studies at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits, and have a GPA of 2.00 or higher. Applicant must have need as defined by the Financial Aid Office at CSN. Preference is given to returning students that have been out of school for a minimum of 5 years.


    WILLIAM KEAN SCHOLARSHIP

    The William Kean Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing an AAS degree -in Nursing (Limited entry program) at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must have a GPA of 3.75 or higher,  and be accepted into the Limited entry program at CSN. 

    Additional Requirements: One page essay discussing the following topics; What inspired you to become a Nurse and what are your plans once you obtain your degree?  What challenges have you encountered in pursuit of your education and how have you overcome these challenges?




    WING & LILLY FONG SCHOLARSHIP

    The Wing and Lilly Fong Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing studies at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits and have a GPA of 3.40 or higher.

    Additional requirements:  Applicants are required to complete an essay and two letters of recommendation. The first letter of reference must be from an instructor. If you are employed, the second letter of reference must come from your employer. If unemployed, the second letter must come from a prominent citizen. (Applicants using family or personal friend for letter of recommendation will not be considered.)


    YOUTHFUL ENTERPRISE SCHOLARSHIP

    TheYouthful Enterprise Scholarship was created to assist students pursuing studies at the College of Southern Nevada. Students considered eligible for this scholarship must be receiving services from a 501c(3) homeless service agency such as:  Shadetree, Partnership for Homeless Youth, Center for Independent Living, or HELP of Southern Nevada.
    The student must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credits, complete a FAFSA for Financial aid consideration, and be considered a resident of the State of Nevada.  


    Applicants identifying themselves as eligible must answer "Yes" to receiving services from a homeless service agency under "Additional Qualifying Questions" section of CSN Scholarship application.  Applicant must also provide name and email address for Case Manager under "Letter of Recommendation - Youthful Enterprise" section for service verification.
